The sleepy suburbs of Middlely have never been the site of anything exciting. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful, and it’s slowly dying as the homes and infrastructure of yesterday slowly crumble away below the feet of its citizens.
But, something strange has started to happen. Things are getting fixed. The Smiths didn’t pay anyone to fix their roof, but it’s not leaking anymore. The Smith’s neighbors didn’t call anyone to come replace their gutters, but they’re shiny and new. The town hasn’t patched that pothole on main street in twelve years, but suddenly it’s fixed and the mayor sure isn’t taking credit for it.
Something odd is going on in Middlely… Someone or something is going around fixing things without being asked. It should be a blessing, right? Right?
